Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a four-season farm with a mission. We work to increase public awareness of healthy, seasonal and sustainable food; train new farmers in resilient, restorative farming techniques; and educate children about the sources of their food.
With your support, we can bring more nutritious and delicious food to the kitchen table, encourage farmers who are committed to improving our health and protecting our environment, and bring positive change to our food system.
Your support will help Stone Barns bring about much-needed change in how we farm and how we eat:
• $1,000 will bring a class of 25 schoolchildren from a high needs school district to Stone Barns for hands-on farm education that connects students to the sources of healthy food.
• $750 will provide tuition and transportation for a high-needs child to attend Farm Camp at Stone Barns this summer.
• $500 will provide scholarship and accommodations for a beginning farmer to attend the annual Young Farmers Conference at Stone Barns.
• $250 will support Stone Barns Center’s year-round efforts to innovate sustainable, four-season farming methods and share these with beginning farmers.
• $100 will help Stone Barns educate over 100,000 annual visitors about community-based farming and how to incorporate sustainable food into their daily lives.
