Chicken and Eggs Program

Welcome Parents and Teachers!

Spring on the farm is all about new life—warmer days, fresh grass, seedlings, buds, and of course, chickens and eggs! At Stone Barns, it’s the perfect time to learn about our interesting feathered friends, their habitat, egg laying and instincts.

In this section of the Stone Barns website, teachers and parents can find interactive activities, useful information and fun facts about the day-to-day life of the chickens at Stone Barns Center—best suited for children grades K-2.  This material is an extension of chicken and egg education at Stone Barns—a great way to engage kids in farm facts if you can’t visit us, or to enhance the class or child experience surrounding a visit.  Get an inside look and learn about the lives and needs of chickens on our sustainable farm. Happy Spring!
