Little Cooks and Gardeners: Winter Break // Thursday
Young children are at a formative stage in developing food preferences and eating habits that can stay with them for life. In this special class for 3- to 5-year-olds, plus one parent or caregiver per child, kids take part in hands-on gardening or farming activities and then discover how to cook simple, seasonal dishes featuring farm ingredients in our kitchen. Adults pick up techniques, tips and recipes for cooking at home with their young children. We ask that no other siblings attend the class with the registered participants. This is to encourage children and caregivers to work together in the most meaningful way possible and to minimize distractions for the rest of the class. Each day will have a different theme and recipe, come for one, two or all of three of the classes.
Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
