1 qt granny smith apple juice or apple cider
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 cup fresh turmeric, ground in a food processor or grated on a box grater
1/4 cup fresh ginger, ground in a food processor or grated on a box grater
Bring apple juice to a simmer with turmeric powder. Remove from the heat and add the fresh grated ginger and turmeric. Allow to steep for about 5 minutes, tasting continuously, strain when it is as strong as you would like it to be. Adjust seasoning with water and salt.
