An in-depth look at the power of healthy soil to transform our food system from the ground up, this panel will explore actions and ideas to promote soil health as an economic and cultural value. Topics will include:
– How to build soil health into the supply chain (including co-ops, CSAs, restaurants, purchasing guides, food companies)
– Emerging markets and policies that generate value for soil carbon (OVR program, carbon markets, state-level policies)
– Farmer/scientist partnerships and the nitty gritty of soil monitoring
– Action steps you can take as an eater, producer, entrepreneur, voter–or some combination of the above!
