Erica Helms is director of strategy at Stone Barns Center. Prior to joining Stone Barns in 2005 Erica worked at the Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation and as a research associate at Harvard Business School. She earned a B.A. in American studies from Yale and currently serves on the advisory board of the Yale Sustainable Food Program.
At Stone Barns Center, Erica oversees fundraising, communications and media relations. She works to build the financial foundation essential for achieving the Center’s strategic vision, and helps develop strategic projects that position the organization as a leader in the sustainable food and agriculture movement.
On the side: Erica’s interest in food was sparked early on by her parents, a food photographer and a magazine editor, who were always interested in the story behind the meal. Today she can often be found sharing new foods with her two young daughters.
