James O’Donnell is education manager at Stone Barns Center. He previously served at Equal Exchange as project coordinator, leading educational events about fairly traded foods like coffee, chocolate, and tea. After learning about labor and trade issues in these international supply chains, he decided to shift attention towards local agriculture. James holds a degree in Economics from Tufts University, where he also studied ethnomusicology.
At Stone Barns Center, James works to translate sustainable food and farming concepts into lessons for high school students and farm visitors.
On the side: James enjoys playing music, woodworking and cooking.
