Farm Store

Tara Shannon

Tara Shannon is Farm Store and Visitor Center associate at Stone Barns Center. Born and raised in Tarrytown, NY, Tara grew up in the woods and on the trails, which are now Stone Barns Center and the Rockefeller State Park Preserve. Since Stone Barns opened in May 2004, Tara, with her three daughters in tow, has spent uncountable hours walking and photographing what has become hands-down her happiest place next to home. Becoming a part of the community on Stone Barns’ team has deepened and expanded her devotion to the Center’s mission.

On the side:  Tara found her passion when she re-discovered film photography. She spends time capturing everything she sees – from her daughters to the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery – using a variety of vintage cameras and films.
