JEFFREY HUNT
SENIOR LIVESTOCK FARMER
Jeff Hunt is the Senior Livestock Coordinator at Stone Barns Center. Originally from New Jersey, Jeff studied Leadership, Ethics, and Organizational Sustainability at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. After graduating, he moved to Junction City, Oregon to work as an apprentice at Deck Family Farm. Jeff was introduced to Stone Barns Center in 2020 while building a cob oven for Chef Pam Yung’s residency alongside builder Kiko Denzer during Stone Barns’ Chef in Residence program.
After his time in Oregon, Jeff was eager to return to the East Coast and support the development of a resilient, regional food system at home. His involvement in agriculture stems from his desire to be involved with the entire experience of creating nourishing food.
Off the farm: Jeff likes playing disc golf, cooking with fire, running, reading, and listening to live music.
