Butchery Plant Manager

Logan Yarbrough is the Butchery Plant Manager at Stone Barns Center. From a young age, Logan was drawn to the food system and dreamed of becoming a chef. After serving eight years in the military, Logan retired and attended school for agriculture. He took a job at a local butcher shop in his hometown of Ithaca, New York. There he enjoyed working as a butcher, finding purpose in both the craft and the ability to provide sustainably raised meat for his community.

Since beginning his butchery journey, Logan has held multiple positions in the meat industry, including owning his own goat farm. Through his experience, he noticed many inadequacies and problems in meat processing that affect local farmers and the food system, and he is excited to help build the meat counter of the future at Stone Barns Center.
