Tessa Higgins is a Seasonal Livestock Farmer at Stone Barns Center. Her very first job on a llama farm rekindled her childhood love of animals. Along with her camelid and equine experience, she also deeply enjoyed working as an educator at a local dairy farm and nature center. 

Through her studies of biology and human health, Tessa was led back to farming, now with a deep interest in understanding both the present and potential of our food systems.

Off the farm: Tessa runs, reads, writes, and is always learning.
