Opportunities

Stone Barns Center is a truly special place to work. On our 80-acre farm in Westchester/Lower Hudson Valley, our team has the opportunity to live our values of sustainability and good food, grown well every single day. Together, we work to change the way America farms and eats by training young farmers, promoting agroecology, growing food citizens, and cultivating a farm-driven cuisine.

We are all involved on the farm, no matter our role, and there are regular opportunities to engage with work across departments. The gorgeous early 20th Century stone barns that make up our offices and event spaces are iconic treasures of the region.

We take great pride in our welcoming, warm team. Our staff are encouraged to participate in the wide range of programming and training opportunities that take place here. We come together frequently for community gatherings over food and make time to share meals together in our gardens and pastures. Our team is full of caring, dedicated employees, and we look forward to welcoming new teammates who join in our mission with a commitment to change and a love of great food and farming.

Join our team as an intern

At Stone Barns Center, interns have the opportunity to participate in our agroecological farming practices and our work to change the way America farms and eats. Like our staff, interns are passionate about our mission and the broader conversation about moving to a more sustainable food system.

Internships are available to those currently affiliated with a university or similar organization. Interns are required to present a final project summary at the end of their experience at Stone Barns. At this time, we are not able to provide financial compensation or housing.

Please see descriptions below for details and application process. These are the only positions for which we are accepting internship candidates.

We do not offer volunteer or internship opportunities for high school aged individuals. For high schoolers interested in engaging with our work, please explore the Stone Barns Summer Institute.
